For God so loved the world, that he
gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life.

We know that visiting a  new church can be a daunting task but we want to reassure you that we are a friendly, low-key bunch of folks who look forward to greeting you and worshiping together. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you make your visit feel comfortable. – Pastor Matt Souza

All preaching and Scripture reading is done out of the King James Bible. If you do not have a Bible please feel free to ask one of the ushers and they will be glad to give you one.

No, we do not make visitors stand up and tell us who they are. Before the offering the pastor will ask if there are any first time visitors, upon raising of your hand an usher will hand you a visitors packet for you to keep. In the packet will be a vistiors card for you to fill out and place in the offering plate for us to keep record of your visit.

No, the offering is for the members of Highpoint Baptist Church and not visitors. If this is your first time at LBC, you will receive a visitors card, we ask that you fill that out and place that in the offering as it is passed around.

If you attend one of our church services, we will be happy that you came, regardless of how “dressed up” you are. Most attendees dress in “traditional-church-going-wear”. If they do “dress up”, it is simply out of respect, and not because of a “church dress code”. Our main goal is that you feel welcome on your visit with us.

As an independent Baptist church, we are not affiliated with any particular Baptist denomination or ruling body. Because of this we can support our own missionaries, select our own leaders, and support institutions that believe as we believe. In short, our church answers to the headship of Jesus Christ rather than a denominational body. There are currently more than 10,000 independent Baptist churches in America and thousands more throughout the world.
