Welcome to Highpoint Baptist Church this Memorial Day weekend. We are thankful that you have chosen to worship with us today. As we gather together, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country so that we could enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free.

Most importantly, we thank the Lord for the eternal freedom we have through Jesus Christ. John 15:13 says, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” Today we honor those who gave their lives for our nation, while also lifting up the One who gave His life for the world.

Whether you are a longtime member or a first time guest, we are glad you are here. Tricia and I count it a privilege to serve as your pastor and friend. We pray today’s service encourages your heart, strengthens your faith, and points you closer to Christ.
